The Friday Night Emergency Room Trip!! FUN!!

Well we have had alot going on lately. The newest story for me to tell everyone is that last Friday night we spent the evening at the Emergency Room. It all started with Caroline having to go to the bathroom while I was putting dinner on the table (before we go any further let me make it clear that Jared was out of town and it was just me and the girls). So anyway, she doesn't like you to watch her so I gave her some privacy while I attended to my screaming baby. It was taking a little longer than usual when I went in there to check on her. We met in the middle on my way. She had a bottle of adult Tylenol and was licking them and saying "GROSS" and depositing them back into the bottle. Who knows how old the Tylenol were I didn't even realize that there were any in the bathroom. I asked her if she swallowed any and she told me, "No, they were yucky, I just lick them and spit them." So since I didn't even know I had them I had no clue how many were in there to begin. It was a bottle of 50 and there were only 20 left, so after much thought and talking to my mother-in-law and mom, I decided to call poison control. They told me to go straight to the ER and they would go ahead and call and report it so they would know we were coming. So, we left and headed there. When we got there they got us straight back (Thank goodness, there was a 6 1/2 hour wait) The doctor said the only thing to do was to draw blood and test the levels and then we would have to draw blood 4 hours later and test it again. The first time they drew the blood it went OK. Nurse Sarah gave her a "Free" dog to hold while they did it. I am sure my $150 copay paid for that stupid dog. Then they sat us in a hall because they were so packed on a hospital bed. Mom came up there to sit with us. THANK GOODNESS!! Talk about trying to entertain a 3 year old for 3 hours on a hospital bed in a hallway!! Needless to say me and my mother got abused by that 3 year old but we made it!! They came back to take her blood the 2nd time and it didn't go as well. She held the dog but slapped me in the face and told me how stupid the situation was. The doctor came back and told us the results were negative and we could leave, the nurse would bring us the discharge papers. Not even 5 min later the doctor came back with papers and said that all the nurses were busy and he would just discharge us before "another accident happened to her, like a sprained ankle or busted open head". Must be pretty bad when the doctor thinks you need to be discharged that quick. Anyways we made it through yet another adventure!! Here are some pics of when she got home of her boo boos (Notice the Tattoo that she drew on herself "like nurse Sarah's"). Anyways keep us in your prayers!! :)
